About us
Mayflower was founded by local pharmacists looking to make high-quality pharmaceutical compounding accessible to patients, prescribers, and pharmacies in Halifax and beyond, while also offering a wide range of pharmacy products and services.Together they bring over 60 years of pharmacy experience in all areas of the profession.

Land Acknowledgement
Mayflower Pharmacy is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People, and we acknowledge them as the past, present, and future caretakers of this land.This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet), and Passamaquoddy Peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet) title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. We are all Treaty people.Mi’kma’ki includes all of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, part of New Brunswick, the Gaspé region of Quebec, part of Maine, and southwestern Newfoundland.

We are fully equipped to prepare a wide range of non-sterile compounds, and our team is highly experienced in researching, sourcing, and preparing these to the highest standards.Clients can bring their prescriptions, have their prescriber send them directly, or have their own pharmacy reach out to us.Look to us for advice on what formulations are possible for your therapeutic goals.We can also prepare veterinary compounding medication in consultation with your veterinarian.Curious about what we can prepare? Full scope of pharmacy practice including renewals and assessments for many conditions
Full immunization services including flu, COVID-19, pneumonia, RSV, meningitis B, and travel, for both individuals and groups. (Other provincially-funded routine vaccines are currently not available)
Free naloxone kits and safe injection kits
Offsite services: Our qualified professionals can arrange education sessions, vaccine clinics, and other services at your workplace or community event.
